Just when you thought Square Enix is solidly determined not to remake Final Fantasy VII, signs suggest otherwise. A recent domain purchase which eventually led to the unveiling of a Final Fantasy VII for PC site (http://finalfantasyviipc.com/en) and now a video trailer seems to hint at Square Enix waivering resolve in cashing off the much-beloved title.
Now if you’re still not getting what’s all the love for this game is about, this might just be your chance. Square Enix will be releasing a revamped (hopefully polished) Final Fantasy VII for PC, the last one being made available in 1998 and was just plain torture to get it working. Not only that but modern hardware and OS’ make the challenge all that much harder. Square Enix plans to do away with such and make the game as approachable as possible.
The game will stay true to its PSX roots with a few additions though like Achievements (36 in all), cloud saves for multi-computer use (no, I will not repeat that Cloud joke here!) and a Character Booster that allows the player to edit their characters’ stats.
Now the question is when is it available and Square Enix is hush-hush about this and only hints at it with words like “Soon”. Also, the publisher states this game will be exclusively available in their online store.
You can reminisce or explore more in the official site here and be sure to check out the trailer below.

As much as I’m not a fan of digging up old inside jokes…
Hey Vincent,
It’s NOT AN FF VII REMAKE!
Someone we both know would be happy with THAT announcement instead of this XD
