Okay, it wasn't the end. They got me there. In another surprising twist, HHE isn't planning on getting 48 girls after all. Everyone thought this will be over, but noooooo! Well, at least there isn't any wild-card. Or is there?
Last week, the girls' first public performance drew generally positive feedback, another "Pasabog" or surprise came and its ramifications, and capping it all off with another solid Showtime performance. All set in the back-drop of the 53rd Single Sekai Senbatsu Sousenkyo.
It was, to put it mildly, a wild journey full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and corners complicating the way. Hell, the more than four-hour wait to get in was its own torture too. But seeing the girls go from dreamers to idols right before your very eyes as well as thanking you for helping them achieve that dream made it all feel worth it.
MNL48 is the Filipino adaptation of the world renowned Japanese pop idol group, AKB48, which is the highest-selling girl group in Japan.
