ZOTAC is taking their AMP EXTREME in a different direction this generation with the RTX 40-series cards now crowned with ZOTAC’s AMP AIRO concept as the top card in the stack. Featuring a decent factory overclock and temps managed by a stylish cooling solution, the new AMP AIRO cooler from ZOTAC curves their previous AMP EXTREME styling for the Ada Lovelace cards.

This time around we’re checking ZOTAC”s take on the RTX 4070 with the top-end ZOTAC RTX 4070 AMP AIRO. Featuring a more compact version of what we’ve seen from  the ZOTAC RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 AMP AIRO, the ZOTAC RTX 4070 AMP AIRO has a relativelyt smaller cooler versus the top Ada cards. Its still a thick cooler as a 3-slot height card but card depth is on the more regular side of the spectrum.

It retains the curved RGB light bar that’s the signature AMP AIRO look for this generatikon. It also retains the 16-pin power connector whereas other brands have the liberty of going with a single 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Special Collaboration

We’ve worked with ZOTAC to promote their various collaborations throughout the years with their most recent outing with Resident Evil a particularly memorable one with their limited edition release graphics cards. This time around ZOTAC is again working with Sony Pictures for the new ZOTAC RTX 40-series Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse bundle.

The bundle includes everything pictured above out of the box including a custom design magnetic backplate for your graphics card as well as customization options with fan logo badges and sticks to spice up your case.

Spider-Man: Across th Spider-Verse is the first part of the continuation of Miles Morales’ journey into his superhero life while also balancing his personal life. Things get more complicated in the second movie but not just for him but also Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 who Miles meet from the first film.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a 2018 film that broke a lot of records and its direct sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse expands all that by introducing us to a whole lot more Spider-people.

ZOTAC’s collaboration primarily focuses on our main characters from the film: Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy and Miguel O’Hara as Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and Spider-Man 2099 and the artwork is present on the box-art and the custom backplate.

I noted in my review of the previous collaboration that the lack of a custom boxart really reduced the feel of the collab but that one had a fully customized shroud and backplate. This time around, the ZOTAC AMP AIRO gets a vanilla cooler but thanks to the power of magnets (which NVIDIA heavily uses on their FE RTX 40 collab cards) as well as stickers, users have the option of customizing their fan logo.

Since the AMP AIRO only has RGB on the side of the shroud, the backplate is purely cosmetic along with the fan badges so its up to you whether you want to dress it up, it is after all, kind of the whole point.

But ZOTAC reallys knocks it out of the park when it comes to the goodies included. The ZOTAC Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Bundle features a random ZTORM figure stylized into any of the 3 primary Spider-people (Miles, Gwen or Miguel) as well as a ton of stickers plus a tote bag featuring the film’s featured artwork.

Its definitely a niche bundle but a sweet extra if you like Spider-Man and the Spider-Verse movie is a real treat especially if you’ve only been exposed to the live-action films. While both franchises are great, Miles Morales has carved his own name in the comics and has sparated himself as an individual character despite the franchise smothering us with Peter Parkers.
