Worms Reloaded is Team17s latest reiteration of the British company’s world famous artillery, turn-based game. Reloaded finally returns to it’s 2D engine roots (as it should be) ever since the Team17 kept on releasing 3D run worms games for the PC. Reloaded was released over at steam last August 26.

I had been a big Worms fan ever since I played the first game over at a friend’s house. Even if I wasn’t very good with the game and I found my team getting eliminated in the early stages of the round I was enjoying the game because of the sounds the worms make, the weapons and of course the power to kill cute worms with impunity.
So whenever I get to hear of a new worms game coming out, I’ve been playing it as long as I’m able to. The latest game I played before reloaded would be Worms: Armageddon over at the PC. I’ve had problems with the 3D worms games, and I didn’t like what I saw when I observed people playing those games. It just wasn’t worms
So when I heard about reloaded I immediately pre-ordered the game over at Steam. I was expecting the game to have something new up it’s sleeve and sadly I was disappointed.
Reloaded had all the weapons and items that were found at Armageddon and that’s it.
I know I’m a fan and all but playing the same game over and over again with can be really boring. Worms Reloaded is basically a rehash with tweaks and changes that don’t present any refreshing change to the game. I mean, it plays like worms and that’s just it. It gets really boring after a while and the longevity isn’t that long for me.
Reloaded has a single player and multiplayer feature where you go on campaigns that put your skills to the test and awarding you with currency to unlock items and weapons at the store. One of the biggest change Reloaded has is that the teams are not cut down to only four worms. Yes, that’s right you only get to have a maximum of four worms in your team.

Reloaded‘s concentrating more on the online multiplayer aspect of worms killing with more features for online gameplay. The problem however with the online gameplay feature of reloaded is that I’ve been having difficulties of connecting with other players.
However, the last time I tried connecting online was during the game’s early weeks so Im still hoping that I can play with other worms players once I get back into steam and play.
I think that worms veterans would find the game disappointing because of the lack of anything new. New players who have never played any worms game before would find this fun– the question of how long however is all up to you.
The game isn’t really new and I believe it’s the game’s novelty that makes people still play the game. It’s just me however and I’m still enjoying worms killing like any other player, I’m not too jaded enough to start complaining about the things the game lacks.
