Every season we always have some anime that features school girls doing random stuff school girls do. And it seems this title is the designated show for that role. So yeah, high school girls being high school girls.

So in that sense, there’s not much overall plot here. They just do their random stuff, mixing in mundane every day tasks with occasional yuri undertones.

Well fine, the slight plot / setting of this show is that there is this Data Processing club with zero member, and it seems our trio of main characters are fated to become the members of it.

What does the club do? No one knows, since no one is there to actually show what they ought to do. But there’s a couple of computers there, so they google stuff randomly. And oddly enough, that actually makes this show rather educational amidst all the stupid gags. In this pilot episode, they search random stuff about the sun, and informs its viewers about the Maunder Minimum, a period in history where sunspot activities were at a significant low, resulting in lower Earth temperatures.
Yes sir, I ended up searching for that in Wikipedia, and thus ended up learning something new today. Hooray for learning! Also, the show also randomly drops an information tidbit that coiled wire will sometimes make mall / shop sensors act up. Someone please try that out.

But here’s my problem with that: I don’t really watch anime to learn new things. Sure, it’s great to have that, but my primary purpose is to relax and enjoy. And Yuyushiki doesn’t deliver for me.

Shows like this kind of live and die with how charming and cute you find the characters to be. And, well, the three girls don’t particularly appeal to me, hence their gags don’t really invoke much laughter from me. So there, just not my cup of tea.
