So picking up where the previous episode left off, Eren goes off to fight the colossal titan. He puts up a good fight, but the titan is just too much. Eren manages a clear shot at the titan’s nape, but steam bursts forth from the titan’s body, and soon he disappears just as quickly as he disappeared.
What’s left of the place is simply a gaping hole in the wall, and panic in the city.
The guards quickly sortie out as the cadets are recalled for further briefing, forming a commendable stand against the incoming wave of titans. But the titans are just resilient. They’re like cockroaches, only they regenerate unless cut deeply enough on the nape.
The wall defense is easily shattered, and droves of titans enter the city much like five years ago.
Soldiers are then stationed to form three lines of defenses: The first line being the regular soldier; The second line being made of squads of cadets; And the third one being made of the elite soldiers, as they are tasked to guard the evacuating civilians.
Being this is their first major mission, the cadets are all panicking and stuff. And it takes a timely squabble between Jean and Eren, and a bad ass speech by Eren saying that they will *expletive* survive, to set them straight.
Well, except Mikasa, who’s sad because she is assigned on the third line of defense, away from Eren.
In any case, Eren’s unit is all pumped up, ready to fight…
That is, until this happened…
A furious Eren goes out to attack the titan who ate Thomas, but this happened to him…
And the rest of the team suffer similar fates…
Eren’s down, with a leg cut off.
Armin’s all frozen, and a titan simply picks him up and pops him into its mouth…
But not on Eren’s watch…
He saves Armin from his predicament, declaring that he won’t *expletive* die. All heart, man. All heart. Eren simply willed it. That is, until this happens…
And this…
