In the survey that we conducted from November 6, 2017 to December 4, 2017, we asked our visitors what is the resolution of the monitor they use for gaming.
A total of 514 respondents answered our survey and, as expected, 1920 x 1080 resolution dominated. About 60% of our visitors are still using monitors with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is not surprising given that about 60% of our visitors are using GPU’s meant for playing games at 1920 x 1080 resolution according to our October 2017 survey.
As added info, the pie chart below shows the survey results according to the aspect ratio of the monitor. Ultrawide monitors (21:9 aspect ratio) are starting to gain usage among gamers. We have already shown that ulrawide gaming is now accessible for most gamers based on the tests we conducted on GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and on Radeon RX 480.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in this survey. The results will guide us on improving the content we publish.

most “budget” high refresh rate monitors are still 1080p, so there’s that…

I’m still using 800×600 stretched when playing CS:GO. Native resolution of the monitor is 1280×720.
