Closer Look
LUXA2 packages the Lavi X in a relatively small box with the product highlighted on front. The model name is in bold print at the top with contrasting text to highlight the key points of this product notably it being a True Wireless headset. At the back we have a detailed description of the various specifics of the LUXA2 Lavi X along with some icons at the bottom. The Lavi X package includes a manual, a charging cable, replacement silicon tips in various sizes and a carry case.
The charging cable for the Lavi X is a split USB connector which makes sense as it won’t have the user connect each one at a time or on a single charger at once. A very nice touch.
The hard carry case fits both Lavi X units on each sleeve together with the cable. A carabiner hook is attached to the case for convenience but we don’t trust it much as its quite flimsy versus hard-metal hooks. Don’t use the hook for anything else other than the case.
The LUXA2 Lavi X units are in-ear IEMs with each having their own dedicated units secured to the ear via earhooks common to most active- and sports-type earphones. The unit comes in black and no other colors as of this moment.
Each unit has controls on each side and the controls correspond to their respective side as the right earpiece will have the Forward button on the opposite side on the left earpiece and vice-versa. The play/power and LED indicator are identical on both pieces though.
The LED indicator are below and will illuminate in blue or red, with blink patterns corresponding to various status to indicate the current state of the Lavi X. When connected to a power source, the LEDs will glow a steady red. When connected, they will blink blue and will alternate in both red and blue when pairing to either the other piece or to a source.
User Experience & Conclusion
Our lovely model hear shows us the fit of the LUXA Lavi X. The earhook clips over the ear and should fit most adult ears just fine. Smaller ears may have issues about fitting but that’s probably on children mostly. Otherwise, the Lavi X is a snug fit and some may need some time to adjust to the feeling of the IEMs in the ear particularly those who aren’t comfortable with wires and may feel a bit jumpy that the earpiece might fall off. No need to fret though, we’ve did some running and other activities with the LUXA2 Lavi X and we can confirm they can sit in place provided your activity doesn’t involve intense head movements… like wild headbanging to music. Kidding aside, the overall comfort and fit of the Lavi X is great and while its not made to give off that satin or light feel, its snug and comfortable enough to be a bother in your routine.
Quality is surprisingly great and having used similar IEMs before, its worth nothing that the sound on these things are superb. On maximum gain, the audio do tend to leak but that they’re still controlled and are not distorted. No cracking or popping which is really great. If the leaking issue bothers you, there are plenty of memory foam tips in the market to offset this but we highly advise NOT listening to music on these for long periods of time IN MAXIMUM volume. Don’t blame us if you suddenly have hearing problems. Audio quality is overall good with present bass, clear vocals and good highs. Nothing really crystal or audiophile-inspiring with the audio trait but it is good particularly noting the price.
