Mark your calendars again, people! After more or less a week of uncertainty, the G-1 League Western Qualifiers are resuming on the 23rd of April. If unfortunately the match gets DDOS’ed again, the tournament will once again be postponed. To date, the last match for the first round of the qualifiers (QPad Red Pandas vs. Dignitas) is still without an official winner and an announcement has yet to be made about this match. Instead, the resumption of the tournament will kick off with the first match for the second round — Absolute Legends versus Team Liquid.
Here are the matches for round 2 of the Western Qualifiers:
[box_light]- Absolute Legends vs. Team Liquid
- Kaipi vs. Fnatic
- Mousesports vs. The Alliance (formerly known as No Tidehunter)
- QPad Red Pandas/Team Dignitas vs. Natus Vincere
The matches for round 2 will still follow a best-of-three, double elimination format, which means unlike the first round, teams who lose the series will fall to the loser’s bracket. The winner of the winners’ bracket and the winner of the losers’ bracket will each take a spot for the LAN tournament to be held in China. How will the teams who fought through the qualifiers fare against the four invited teams? Hopefully, DDOS attacks will no longer be hurled for this tournament as well as for any of the future tournaments. My inner self cheers for Na’Vi and Mouz.
Who are you rooting for?
