Bandai Namco revealed today that the new game in the “Sword Art Online” franchise, “Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization” will be released in Japan on October 27, 2016. The reveal was also accompanied by a new trailer (found below. It’s in Japanese though) and the pre-order bonuses for PSN users in Japan, which contains the “βeater’s Player Authority”, which means players can play the opening part of the story one week before its release, and the “Ancient Equipment Maid’s Clothes” as a costume for use in-game.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is set in the fictional MMORPG, “Sword Art Origin” in which the original game is restore for research and development purposes, 3 years after the original incident. The game will once again feature action combat gameplay and according to the devs will feature over 300 non-player characters, all of which can be recruited to join the player’s party, including the all new game character named “Premier” and will also feature online multiplayer.
The game will be released on other regions in the 4th Quarter of 2016, so unless you own a Japanese PSN account, you will have to wait a few more months.
