Seagate and WD are both announcing their PlayStation 5-ready M.2 NVMe SSD’s shortly after Sony has announced it will be enable the internal M.2 expansion slot for end users soon.
Seagate’s FireCuda 530 has been available for a while and is there 7GB/s Gen4 SSD offering, succeeding the FireCuda 520 Gen4 5GB/s prior. This means that the FireCuda 530 easily meets Sony’s asking speed of 5GB/s.
