Philippine Virtual Reality Conference 2016

With Virtual Reality becoming the latest trend in technology not only for gaming, but in other circumstances as well, it is only safe to say that the community within the Philippines has expanded throughout the years.

Thanks to Virtual Reality Philippines, the community has become closer, and more of our fellow Filipinos are learning about this magnificent technology. What we was thought was impossible is now a reality. Exporting yourself from the real world to the Virtual/Augmented World is no longer far fetched.

Thus, with the events headed by VR PH, the community becomes aware and learns how to create content for VR. So after Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 of the Philippine Mobile VR Jam, the Philippine Virtual Reality Conference is undeway. Within the event the winner of the 50kphp grand prize as well as the trophy and other several prizes noticeably the Samsung Gear VR, will be announced this June 25, at the PLDT InnoLab.

Other than the announcement of winners, within the Philippine Virtual Reality Conference, are guests of speakers and exhibitors. Ranging from professional game devs, to local game companies, and groups of students trying to create their own content, the Philippine Virtual Reality Conference is expected to be once again jam packed.

According to VR PH’s event registration page:

“The 1st Philippine VR Conference will be the biggest gathering of Virtual Reality developers and enthusiasts in the country. It would feature the most promising VR developments in the country and would consist of talks and exhibits from different VR Start-ups, Development Teams, Independent Developers as well as Student Projects.

The participants of the Philippine Mobile VR Jam will also be presenting their output during this event, where the winners will also be unveiled.”

No announcements have been made as to who will be the speakers, exhibitors of the event, but if you’re a student, company, or a freelancing gamedev, then this is your opportunity in showcasing your work. The Philippine Mobile VR Jam will be held at the 3rd Floor Audio Visual Room of PLDT Innolab, Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
