AMD Ryzen 7000 is releasing in stores soon and with rocky expectations on prices, consumers want some sort of assurance of pricing so they can plan ahead. With AMD moving to Socket AM5, this will require adopters of Ryzen 7000 to adopt a completely new platform which needs a new motherboard and memory.
Courtesy of our various dealer partners who have sent us pricing from AMD Philippines local distributor, we now have the baseline pricing to which stores can mark-up from. We’re also receiving pricing for motherboards and DDR5 being offered to dealers by way of GIGABYTE motherboards.
The prices are rounded off to the nearest thousand:
AMD Ryzen 7000 Distributor Pricing (Philippines)
|Ryzen 5 7600X||17000|
|Ryzen 7 7700X||23000|
|Ryzen 9 7900X||31000|
|Ryzen 9 7950X||40000|
Note that these are not retail pricing so dealers and retail stores will be putting mark-up on these. Expect anywhere around Php1,000 or more for retail pricing.
GIGABYTE X670E/X670 Launch Slate Pricing (Philippines)
GIGABYTE’s motherboard launch slate looks fairly priced with the AORUS X670E XTREME flagship at less than Php50,000 which is the expected going pricing for XTREME class boards. The X670E AORUS Master remains in the $500 range at Php27,000 distributor price. Motherboards do have some room for mark-up so these pricing may go up with dealer markups.
GIGABYTE is also offering AORUS DDR5 memory sticks at Php12,000.
These are being offered in bundles and incentivized with discounts if purchased with DDR5 memory. It can be inferred that these arrangements could be passed on retail with AORUS/GB motherboards offered as bundles with AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs.
AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs will be available in store on September 27/28, 2022. Current volume is unsure but it is apparent that AMD Philippines has supply to at least make launch availability. X670E and X670 boards will also be available on launch with GIGABYTE effectively making launch with MSI already stated to be giving their pricing to dealers as well.
B650 and B650E motherboards for Socket AM5 will be available on a later date, expected to be October.
