Our friend CapFrameX is hinting on some behind-the-curtains development from NVIDIA. The company has been on the forefront on developing AI-accelerated workflow improvements and making them available to various market verticals but they are also adventurous enough to know this can also improve work internally as evident with PrefixRL and how NVIDIA is using Deep Reinforcement Learning to help design the most optimized circuits for their EDA tools.
NVIDIA PrefixRL Aims to Cut Circuit Size by 25% for more Efficient Future GPU Designs
CapFrameX claims that there could be a 10-30% improvement in performance from these drivers. CapFrameX suggests that the AI can leverage shader compile and game optimizations as well as card boost clock and power management to improve the card’s performance.
There is no specific generation indicated as included but potentially this could be a key selling point for RTX 40-series cards but NVIDIA may want to clear out their RTX 30 series stockpile so they might include both generations on the prime candidates of supported cards.
