TechPowerUp is reporting that NVIDIA may be planning to create another variant of the RTX 3060 based on the GA104 silicon which is used on the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti amongst others. This new RTX 3060 SKU variant is reportedly going to feature the same 12GB video memory but with faster 19Gbps GDDR6X memory.
TPU surmises that the new RTX 3060 is designed with the same CUDA core configuration of 3584 CUDA cores but being based on the GA104, cuts the whole chip capability by almost half. NVIDIA could be doing this to further clear out its remaining GA104 inventory by putting out on the mainstream segment that could make it an ideal option for icafes and esports builds.
tlgang hinde pa nila na let go ang 30 series, maybe dahil sa nalugi na 40series or…. marami pa ata 3060 sa shelves nila…
