Out of the three launch models for the RTX 30 series, the NVIDIA RTX 3070 is currently pending release with a original planned release of October 15. That will be pushed back by a couple more days as NVIDIA has announced that the release will be on October 29th.
NVIDIA cites higher demands, as exhibited by the previous cards, and thus is making adjustments to accommodate the expected demand. Production is in full swing and NVIDIA partners are expected to be ready to cope with the larger expected demand for the RTX 3070.
NVIDIA positions the RTX 3070 to compete against the RTX 2080 Ti but the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 proved to be overpromised during the keynote which leaves me tempering my expectations for the RTX 3070 as well. The card will be equipped 5888 CUDA cores which boosts up to 1.7Ghz and complimented by 8GB of GDDR6 memory.
The NVIDIA RTX 3070 will have starting price of $499.
