The 1st Manila Idol Matsuri 2018 is proud to present their Special Mystery Performer, the Philippines’ very own Jpop idol group, MNL48.
First announced to the world last March 26, 2016 at AKB48’s Solo Concert at the Yokohama Stadium together with BNK48 and TPE48, MNL48 has become the biggest game changer in bringing the Japanese Idol culture here in our country. Currently composed of 3 teams, Team M2, Team N4, Team L, and together with the group’s very own Team Kenkyuusei, the group is currently composed of a whopping 59 professionally trained members.
Having already had their general elections from the get-go, the group first revealed its music video for its debut single Aitakatta – Gustong Makita at the press conference last August 11, and finally to the world last August 18. The group is bound to reveal more of their tagalized-versions of 48-group songs in due time, have their very own theater, possible TV shows, have a long line of brand promotions, and many many more.
As a special treat for this historic event in Philippine J-idol scene, HHE will be sending not just any member, but the senbatsu members. This is very important especially since this will also be single release weekend for MNL48. Let loose your tigers, fellow chaps. This is not a drill!
