A recent post at Chiphell forum has shared some new tests with an AMD Ryzen 5700G APU made for retail. Previous reports have already surfaced but those were all from engineering samples. This new post is with a ready-for-sale, retail sample.
The benchmarks show us CPU-Z benchmarks as well as Cinebench R20 with R20 itself scoring 6040 points in the multi-core benchmark. This is a respectable CPU score and aligns well with Ryzen 5000 expectations for an 8-core CPU.
The big disappointment though is that AMD is still shipping Vega with the Ryzen 7 5700G. The chip features Vega 8 graphics and is clocked at 2Ghz. Something which was also criticized from the previous APU lineup of last generation.
The Ryzen 7 5700G is currently not yet officially announced but with AMD previously limiting some APUs to OEMs, launch could be soon but may only be limited to partners.
