Despite delays, Intel’s first discrete GPU made its debut last year and Intel’s Arc graphics has come far earning some stripes thanks to active development on both driver and gamer partnerships which sees games like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered amongst others being updated with Intel XeSS as well DirectX 9 game peformance getting upgraded.
Aligning with Intel’s already announced roadmap, we’ve expected that the next-generation of Arc GPUs should come out this year featuirng Intel’s new Arc architecture: Battlemage. HotHardware reports that that may not be the case as leaked by by RedGamingTech, which shares a roadmap of Intel’s GPU plans for 2023 and onwards.
The leaked discrete GPU roadmap shows Arc Alchemist still due for a 2023 apperance with newer silicon noted by their silicon names ACM-G20 and ACM-G21. Intel’s Arc 1st-gen Alchemist GPU currently uses ACM-G10 and ACM-G11.
The roadmap also shows us that Battlemage will be marketed as the Intel’s XE2 HPG graphics and is scheduled for the first half of 2024. This suggests that Intel’s refreshed Arc Alchemist GPUs may show-up in 2023 and sport some refinements plus changes to bring the card’s efficiency into better levels.
