Intel knows for sure that the Arc A750 is their strongest value card amongst their Arc Graphics A-series lineup and while it doesn’t top every media review charts out there (including our review of the Arc A750 from ASRock), especially when matched against the Radeon RX 6600. With the February 2023 update, Intel is providing an update to Arc Graphics including driver update that improves performance which will now see the Arc A750 averaging as much as 43% versus the launch drivers that Intel shipped these cards in.
Intel has been suffering from very poor DX9 performance due to how Intel Arc operates and with the mainstream gaming market shares predominantly filled by esports games who may still be running DX9 or DX11, Intel has been hard at work in getting these up. As the most popular game on Steam despite its age, CSGO is a benchmark not for average FPS, but overall smoothness of graphics cards.
Partners like ASRock, Acer and regional brands like Gunnir (China) have not yet officially been announced to reduce pricing but is expected to do so following Intel’s announcements. This will close the gap between the Radeon RX 6600 and the Intel Arc A750 and should appeal more to gamers who play the games that Intel is targeting.
