An article showing up on OC3D reveals the details on Gigabyte’s new AM3+ motherboard.
The motherboard sports new features that’s not normally found on the  AM3+ platform, features such as USB 3.1, an M.2 slot and an upgraded onboard audio. The M.2 slot uses PCI-e 2.0 lanes instead of 3.0 on Intel’s Skylake platform. PCIe 2.0 will still offer an improvement when compared to to SATA III SSDs. The PCIe lanes also supports Gigabyte’s new PCIe Metal Shielding.
