TAITRA, the organizing body of COMPUTEX, has officially announced the rescheduled dates for the event. COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2020 will now be held at September 28-30, 2020. This is after the tremendous global situation due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak and numerous countries holding contain-and-delay plans for their regions in hope to contain the virus. Taiwan has announced an indefinite closure of its borders as of March 19, barring all foreign nationals from entering the country. One of the main reason why COMPUTEX is now officially postponed, despite the firm stance of TAITRA in prior weeks.
UPDATE 03/25/2020 9:41AM – COMPUTEX will be held together with InnoVEX, another TAITRA event intended for startups. Both events will share Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2. We’ve spoken to several company representatives and they are privately voicing their disappointment on the situation, with some stating that they may skip this year’s rescheduled event.
Some companies are planning to move launch announcements to digital, livestreaming their launches and conducting private reveals under NDA to select members of the press.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Concerns
Over the past couple of months, TAITRA has been monitoring the outbreak of Coronavirus very carefully. Unfortunately, the darkness just continued to cast over the world, and news has been heartbreaking lately. In order to contain the evolving development of the Coronavirus, governments around the globe are placing travel restrictions, making it difficult for exhibitors and international visitors to attend COMPUTEX.
After careful consideration, we decided to reschedule COMPUTEX 2020 to September 28-30, 2020 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2). We hope by announcing the new date, our participants can make travel plans effectively because we know a lot has been invested in this event.
Our hearts and sympathy are with those who are affected around the world. In the meantime, we have to stay strong and fight on!
