Following its CES 2023 preview, ASUS today formally announces that the RTX 4080 NOCTUA OC Edition is shipping now and will store shelves shortly. Other regions have seen their prices already announced with our friend Tech-Critter reporting their pricing for Malaysia being set at RM6999. As of this writing, that would convert to around PHP85,000 in today’s exchange rate but ASUS Philippines has yet to announce their price.
The ASUS x NOCTUA series of graphics cards started off with the RTX 3070 (our full review of the ASUS RTX 3070 NOCTUA OC Edition is available here). This was following by an RTX 3080 but none followed. In January we had confirmation that ASUS and Noctua will continue the model and we now get the new RTX 40-series offering of the NOCTUA collab with ASUS.
The RTX 4080 NOCTUA OC Edition is 4.3x slot tall, which on the marketing product shots resemble the older RTX 30-series NOCTUA OC Edtion cards. They both retain NOCTUA’s tan-brown NF-A12x25 which could be a statement because Noctua has already launched black versions of these fans.
While visually the same, the cooling has been improved with a larger vapor chamber to manage the 320W TDP of the AD103-300. ASUS rates this card to run at just around 61*C+ on load while being extremely quiet.
The ASUS RTX 4080 NOCTUA Edition is now available in select regions with Philippine pricing yet to be announced. Availability is listed as “soon” with the card potentially becoming available starting April.
