ASUS has had very strong success with their collaboration projects with the ASUSxGUNDAM and ROGxEVA projects. The ROG x EVA was particularly a strong product line given the allure of Unit-01’s iconic color scheme and the series’ large following especially in Asia.
The ROG x EVA collection featured products from 2022 including a Z690 board and RTX 30-series cards. But the series doesn’t just revolve around Shinji’s Unit 01 and ASUS has something to say about as they are readying the launch of Asuka Langley’s own collection with the Unit 02 ROG x EVA launch for 2023.
The video above follows the same motiff as the ROG x EVA launch, done in the style of the anime classic but this time featuring a more red lighting but its the hashtags that give away the release plans for this model.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime that still has firm roots in today’s modern culture and it is very notable especially in countries like Taiwan where it has a firm following. Taiwan being the home country of ASUS is aware of this and its following in the world. The ROG x EVA project launched last year, following 2021’s ASUS x GUNDAM collab. Both were well received and managed to penetrate western markets despite supposed regional availabilities only limited to Asian countries. ROG x EVA also saw wide success and it seems ASUS is pleased with the collaboration that they saw it fit to honor Asuka Langley fans with their own collection.
No further information has been revealed but we will closely monitor this launch for updates.
