AMD is set on its roadmap for its CPU as well as its development cycle with Zen3+ set on 6nm in late 2021 with a 5nm Zen4 CPU in schedule for 2022 as reported via Videocardz from a Chinese publication. With news of Intel adopting the big.LITTLE core design for their Alder Lake CPUs arriving later this year, AMD may also be including this in consideration of their future products with the 3nm Zen5-based products reportedly being considered with big.LITTLE core design as well, set for a 2024 release as part of the Ryzen 8000 family.
Codenamed “Strix Point”, the lineup will reportedly be a full APU offering with the flagship sporting 8-high performance cores and 4 low-performance cores. This is a smaller configuration than what Intel plans on their Alder Lake big.LITTLE CPUs. AMD is also setting performance targets for the integrated GPUs, looking forward to the sort of expectation that could be had in the next 3 years.
As this is a forward-looking report with developments certainly to crop up, this may change accordingly.
