AMD has released their 1080p gaming card just a few days from today and while some users are put off by the asking price plus shortage pricing, some who have had their hands on the card are exploring the earning potential of the RX 6600 XT when used for mining.

AMD RDNA2 cards are capable of mining but performance has been more in favor of NVIDIA Ampere-based RTX 30 cards due to their price-to-performance ratio. This may not be the case with the RX 6600 XT.

At stock, Youtuber Dizzy Mining‘s MSI RX 6600 XT does 28MH/s at 93W. Tweaking the card and reducing frequency to around 1.2Ghz and increasing the memory clock speed to 2.2Ghz, the Radeon RX 6600 XT card was able to do 32 MH/s at only 55W TDP in ETH mining.
