In a bid to have a competitive top-end card, AMD is reportedly pushing their largest silicon further in a bid to contend with NVIDIA’s RTX 3090. A leaked slide showing a Radeon RX 6900 XTX suggests that AMD is not done milking their RDNA2 flagship even after an already higher card released in the form of liquid-cooled RX 6900 XT. That said, that card did not earn a name change for whatever reason and the Navi 21 silicon has seemingly some juice left if this leak is to be believed.
The Radeon RX 6900 XTX will reportedly see an increase in memory bandwidth and will see its 16Gbps memory go upwards to 18Gbps. Other than that, the RTX 3090 holds a position in professional tasks rather than gaming and if AMD wants to claim the gaming crown, the RTX 3080 Ti is already its main target.
