Time to fire up the ol’ rumor mill, folks. Kotaku has it that Sony had a private meeting at its Aoyama offices to give an early glimpse of the PSP2. According to the article, the rumored rear trackpad is confirmed. Just how it will be implemented in games will be left up to the developers.
The screen itself will also be getting an upgrade. An inch, to be exact. It’ll also be sharper than what the current PSP models offer. Great news so far, and they can probably sweeten the deal a lot further by giving it the ability to be hooked up to  HDTVs.
As of the article’s posting, Sony is still finding a balance between battery power and heat. Then again, if the machine is powerful as it’s rumored to be, then it’s sure to generate a palm-scorching amount of heat. Hopefully, Sony can find a way to work around that soon.
Finally, the release window is around Fall 2011, according to sources.
So, what would you like to see in the PSP2?
