Method Revision (June 2020)
With users commenting problems logging into their Google account during the installation of this method, the steps have been revised to work around this.
This update will show a simple solution to logging into Google as well as a revision to older Step 7 which has now been replaced with a new, more reliable method. A lot of the segments have been overhauled so please kindly read again step by step. Its very easy and fast and will be very easy to do for this update of the fix to install Google Play Store on your new Huawei Device.
We can confirm this works on a Huawei Nova 7i, Huawei P40/P40 Pro and a Mate 30 Pro but some have confirmed it works on other Huawei devices as well. It does not make any permanent alterations to your Huawei phone so its safe and you can just factory reset your phone to remove all changes.
Note: This workaround will eventually stop working and we’ll try to updated as frequently as possible.
UPDATE: DECEMBER 2020
As with previous fixes, the last method has stopped working. For those adventurous enough, there is a workaround to installing Google Play on your Huawei device.
There is a new workaround as of late October 2020. See here for more details:
DECEMBER 2020: Installing Google on your Huawei Device – Googlefier
Confirmed working after latest Huawei update July 2, 2020.
Without further ado. Let’s proceed. I’ve divided this post into pages since some readers are skipping steps. Proceed only to the next step if you believe you’ve fulfilled the conditions of the current step.
UPDATE: AUGUST 8, 2020
We’ve seen your comments about the login not working on Step 4 and since I don’t have a Huawei phone anymore to test, it took a while to check the solution we gathered.
The good news is that we’ve received reports of a workaround for now IF the regular steps are still not working for you. All you need to do is backdate or set your phone’s date to May 2020 or earlier.
We’ll update the step accordingly. The rest of the steps are the same.
Step 1: Files and Devices Needed
We’ve search for one-click solutions unfortunately they are not available right now so this one is made more complicated by the need of separate devices. You will need the following:
- Your Huawei device
- A USB Type-C flash drive or USB Type-C to Female Type-A OTG cable
- These files: Download Google Dienst Installation Account Fix
Extract the files and put them inside your USB device in the top directory for easier access. You’ll have two folders: Huawei and Google_Dienste_APK in the root or topmost directory.
USB Examples:
NOTE: Antivirus software may report false-positive and quarantine/delete the files. Please make sure that the following files are present:
- com.lzplay.helper.apk
- com.lzplay.helper.tar
- info.xml
Step 2: Installing Backup Files
Connect your USB device to your phone. This step refers to the backup files from the files you downloaded earlier. We will access the Huawei folder from our downloaded files.
We will need to use the Backup & Restore software, built-in to your phone with this. Open it by going into your phone’s Settings > System & Updates > Backup & Restore > Data Backup. Proceed with the prompts and the Backup window should open.
Choose External Storage when asked where you want to backup or restore your data.
Choose the backup data from date ” 7 March 2020, 8:06am” and it will ask for a password. The password is firlando234 and should be visible in the password hint. Please note that this is case-sensitive.
After this, if you’ve tried our previous steps before. Much of the steps has changed so our advise is try this on a freshly reset unit. Our installation unit tested for this revision is a Huawei Nova 7i.
Step 3: Install Google Applications
NOTE: Reports say that this step is working again but if it still fails on you, before you login, please set your phone date to May 2020 or an earlier date.
Step 3.a: Activate Lzplay
Tap and activate the Lzplay on your home screen, the purple G logo. Activate and grant admin rights to Lzplay app. Proceed with storage access and tap activate.
On the Lzplay main screen, tap the blue button. You don’t need need to finish the loading on screen. Tap home and proceed to the next step.
Step 3.a – ALTERNATE LZplay Install
- Uninstall the stock Huawei backup app by going to Settings > Apps > Apps and look for the Backup app and uninstall it.
- Download this version of Huawei Backup
- SWITCH ON FLIGHT MODE! Scroll to your phone’s top drawer and tap that airplane icon.
- Install the downloaded Huawei Backup app. Ignore the installation error message.
- Repeat STEP 2: Installing back-up Files
- DEACTIVATE FLIGHT MODE.
- Run LZplay.
Step 3.b: Install Google Apps Services
Run the Huawei File Manager app (it should be on your home screen) and navigate to the USB drive and click the Google Installation folder in the USB drive. You will see 9 numbered files.
Install the first 6 files (note the file numbering starts at zero):
- 0.FRP_Bypass.apk
- 1.GAM_v4.0.3.apk
- 2.Contacts.Sync-29-v10.apk
- 3.SV.Policy_sidecar_aps-2052073.apk
- 4.GMS.STD.apk
- 5.PlayStore_19.5.13-all.apk
Step 4: Sign-in your Google Account
Step 4.a
- Open the FRP_Bypass app you just installed.
- Click the menu button on the upper-right and select Browser Login
- Enter your Google email address and password
- Login.
Note 1:
Be patient until the error message appears. It is normal for an error prompt to appear during communication with Google servers.
Note 2:
For multiple Google accounts, after setting up the first and verifying, you can proceed to add more afterwards. They will usually say an error has occurred as well. Ignore it and proceed to the next step.
Step 4.b
- Install file number 6 in the USB: 6.GG.Services.Framework-29-v10.apk
- After installation, go to Settings > Users & Accounts
You will see your Google account in there as well as the other you may have used even if you get an error during the previous login attempt at Step 4.a.
You will also start receive a lot of notifications about Play Protect ignore for now as we will fix them in a later step.
Step 5: Install Google Services Framework
Note: Ignore all Google error notifications for now about Play Protect other related notifications.
Open the Google Play Store in your home screen and see if if you can browse a bit. If you can move, it means that Google Play Store is working normally.
If Play Store doesn’t open normally, your device will restart. Let it restart and try again.
Step 6: Google Play Services
Return to Huawei File Manager and install file number 7:
- 7.GMS.Mod2Fix.apk
Once installed, start Play Store and then restart your device. Just let Play Store start, and do nothing and just do a normal restart after a few moments.
Note: You may receive a message during installation 7.GMS.Mod2Fix.apk that you have a more current version of Google Play services. If you do, just uninstall it in System > Apps > Apps and remove Goole Play services. Install 7.GMS.Mod2Fix.apk again and it should finish successfully.
Step 7: Google Service Framework
Step 7.a: Google Service Framework
- Open Google Play Store
- Install LARGE apps from the Play Store. Very large ones to stall download.
- While the download is happening, go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Show System Process (on the menu on the upper-right), look for Google services framework, tap on it and tap on Storage, and Tape Clear/Delete Data.
- Switch back to Google Play Store.
- Restart your device. No need to wait for the download to finish.
Step 7.b: Fix Play Protect Notifications
After restart:
- Open Google Play Store. Restart your device if it does not open properly and try to open again.
- Start another app installation.
- Check if the Google Play Protect notification still appear, they should stop by this point.
If Google Play Protect continues to appear, restart from Step 7.a.
Step 8: Update Google Play Services
Last step! You should not have any problem at this point. Read carefully the instructions and skip messages if you’re told to ignore them or you expect errors to pop up. By this point, everything should be fine and you should not be receiving any more Google Play Protect notifications.
Go to Settings > Apps > Apps > Show system processes (3-point menu top right) >Google Play Services and Uninstall.
Go back to File Manager and install file #8:
- 8.GMS.STD.apk
After installation, restart your phone for the final time.
And you’re done
You should have a fully working Google Play Store at this point. Congratulations!
The steps removed a lot of the complicated method in our original post with simplified steps and there shouldn’t be any more lengthy waits for errors.
For Mobile Legends players logging in their accounts on initial install, use your Facebook account to login for immediate switch account results.
Similar to the previous method in installing Google Apps in your Huawei Nova 7i and other Huawei devices, this method still won’t allow Google PAY and some streaming services. We can’t sign-in to Youtube either but it works no problem for viewing.
We can confirm that you can install free and paid games and apps with this method like what we have on our Huawei 7i.

Hi, is there any reason why my phone is not detecting the restore point from the USB? I can view the extracted file though, USB debugging is on, USB config was set to MTP ( Media Transfer Protocol).. but “Use USB to” was set to “Reverse Charge” when I tried to set to “transfer files” is goes back to “reverse charge”. TIA
The zip file should be extracted in the root and not extracted under another folder, Huawei folder should be on the root
I got a parse error on (3) GMS Core 19.apk when I tried to install it, can you please check the included file in the zip file? Its file size was 95MB
I tried re-downloading the zip file, and after my fifth time I was able to extract it without parse error on the files. I should’ve downloaded it straight from my PC and not from mobile. Anyways, after trying for almost 2 hours, still don’t have my luck, still prompting the annoying “Google Play services requires an action” 🙁
I can confirm that I never had this thing go as quickly as I wanted it to and required a lot of retries after Step 6. The most I did uninstalls Google Framework Services and Google Play Store and reinstalling it up to the point where I have to not get the notifications.
Still trying to look for easier solutions but so far this is the only one that works.
Thank you bro, will try my best nalang muna ulit, habang wala pa yung easiest way. Salamat ulit sa pag post neto
Hello does this work for huawei m6 tablet too?? If not do you know how? PLEASE HELP ME HAVE BEEN TRYING A LOT OF WAYS BUT NOTHING WORKS
It should work since they both run the same environment
Hi. I successfully done all of the steps and it is working fine. But the Netflix is not working. What should I do?
As of this moment I really don’t know how to use streaming services with this workaround. Pretty much anything related to secure video streaming and banking will not work with this. I’ll check if I can find a solution.
followed all steps, but there is always notification error. google play services always issue a notification error
As long as it is not the play protect notification, you should be fine and you can ignore the message. If its the annoying play protect notification, you have to redo the steps.
100% Legit, the playstore works perfectly in my Huawei 7i by following the steps.
Hi
the purple G logo not Activate in my p40 pro an you tell me after downloading how I activate to this G logo app?
Thanks
Repeat the steps. It’s easier than troubleshooting first
Plan on having 7i.. Ask ko lang po… Gumagana parin po ba ang diskarteng to? Thanks po…
Still works, currently using it on my 7i
Any Google services solution for Huawei Nova 7SE? Mine is software updates to latest
I’m trying to install on my Huawei nova 7i,
After finish backup file it pop up something when try to run de purple G aps.
Do I need to format my phone first before follow the instructions?
Better if newly formatted but not 100% necessary.
Also you didn’t catch what the pop-up says?
It says check your network connection
I did Activate everything on Step 3 but every time I open it, it says Check your network connection over and over again. Need help please. Thank you
Step 3: Install Google Applications
Step 3.a: Activate Lzplay
Tap and activate the Lzplay on your home screen, the purple G logo. Activate and grant admin rights to Lzplay app. Proceed with storage access and tap activate.
Thank.. After 2 days keep trying, finally It’s work on my Huawei Nova 7i.
Already used for 2 weeks without any errors.
But cannot run McDonald’s app. It’s say “not pass security check”.
The rest is fine for now.
How did you passed by the Connection Check on LZPLAY? Thanks
You shouldn’t be getting an error by this step. You can either try again or check your connection literally to see if there’s a problem although I can’t confirm if this works without an active internet connection so make sure you have an active connection just to be sure.
Hi po.. Tried this on my nova 7 se.. I got stuck on the lz play app.. Nagawa ko na din yung step 3.a. Pero same result pa rin..
May other way pa po ba para mag work siya? Thanks.
You are awesome bro!!
Raleigh,
Actually my device dont have issue with the connection.
I just can share what I’m face during the process.
Hope can give U something.
My first try I have issue when the G purple pop up something in Chinese and not allowed me to continue.
I check back the instructions given and after that I decided to format my phone and start the process again.
This 2nd try no more pop up when i run the G purple and it’s allow me to continue the installation process. And than just proceed with the next steps accordingly.
As mentioned by admin, I also have problem in steps 7.b and need to try several times.
And finally did it.
Because I so happy with that I have made wrong move on step 8. Then the error notification pops up like M16.
I’m stress with the pop up and decide to format again my device.
After that I do again, just read and follow the steps carefully.
For this 3rd try, I still face the same annoying patr on steps 7.b. But don’t give up and keep trying. And finally I did it and continue with the final steps. 🙂
I’m lucky, I can login to my YouTube account. 🙂
So if the play protect notification pops up then i only have to repeat from step 7? I was fine with all the pop ups until i found out that i cannot back up my viber data, and everything else on my nova 7i to my google account.. Help please. TIA.
After installation everything is perfect except Google duo which is not working.. Any tips..?
Hi, installing this on Huawei Nova 7i. At step 4..I’m unable to login. It keeps saying ‘Couldn’t sign in’. Any help here? 🙁
@Steph: Do you have 2 factor enabled?
hi. just wanna ask why cant i sign in to google. in the settings, under the user and accounts then add account then in google, it always says a problem occurred while communicating with google services.
Is this after you’ve done the workaround?
I’ve just finished the fourth step for the signing in. I cannot continue.
See if you have 2-factor authentication enable and try to disable it:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1064203?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en
Same problem as @steph. I’m having problem at step 4, it keeps saying “Couldn’t sign in’ although I disabled 2 step verification.
Seems like a new development where people encounter login issues at Step 4. I’ll replicate the problem and see if we have a fix. Let me just factory reset my Nova 7i to test.
Does the 6 apps in Step 3a must be successfully installed?
Cause mine keep on showing download error and asked me to redownload them.
Yes, they are required. There’s shouldn’t be a download error because they’re locally installed. It’d be best if you can share screenshots of the problem. You can upload them in imgur
https://imgur.com/a/U0iuo6D
I have a nova 7i and I am stuck at signing in for more than Half an hour now
https://imgur.com/a/U0iuo6D
Did you wait until everything changed status icons?
I have waited a few minutes but still the same as the picture above.
I also tried redownload and it still stuck at the first app.
Did you try restarting from the beginning by doing a factory reset.
Yes. I did reset the phone but it’s still the same
Seems like you’re not the only one encountering the problem. I’ll see if I can replicate. Will try it on my phone and update. For now, try checking updated guides if you need a bypass. They may have the fix already. I’ve seen this reported first on June 21, so its fairly recent. Google may have patched it out.
Seems like newer devices such as the Matepad 10.4 isn’t supported… Got stuck on the G logo step; translation says “not supported”
Hello! Have you successfully installed GMS in your nova 7 5G?
Any solution to make Google pay work currently only Google lay and mcdonald’s doesnt work any suggestions or methods to make them work?
Still no solution for that sadly and I’m actually afraid to try given the workaround nature of this fix.
Hi,. My 7i isn’t working from step 3,..that big G does not appear on home screen until I install it and again when I open it, it only brings two Chinese options which when I press the blue option it pops up again, ..I cannot as well sign in
Its scam
Hi,
The step have been revised and are now much easier and guaranteed working as of July 2, 2020.
on the step 6 after remove Goole Play services. Install 7.GMS.Mod2Fix.apk again, then google play store showed Authentication is required. I did the restart but play store still showing the same thing.
Did you try continuing? You should receive notifications until Step 8 where you remove them. Try proceeding.
hey bro thnx for the auto it worked in y7p and nova 7i but it doesn’t work for y6p and y5p LZPlay make a message this phone is not supported do you have any solution for that. ?
I’ll check if there’s a special workaround for the other phones.
any news about y6p
success but how do I fix error for google apps like gmail and stuff
What error do you get? I’m using Gmail on the Nova 7i right now, I don’t experience issues. Please share your experience
was fine before step 8. But after install #8 File, the notification ‘Google Play services requires an action’ pops out again…
You’ll need to restart after that and then after restarting you shouldn’t receive any more errors.
I can’t log in at playstore. already reset my phone.btw, using Nova 7i
I can only update existing apps. Since I cannot log in, I can’t download new apps
During Step 5 did Play Store show that you are logged in?

Hi!
In step 4A, when I open the app and tap browser log-in : it does not ask me for my email and password. It just says “You don’t have a network connection. This could be a temporary problem. Try again or connect to another Wi-fi network.”
I am receiving the Google play protect notifications. But whenever i open the Play Store, it asks me to login and then givs me the same “No network connection” error.
Please help. Thank you
HOLA.
agradezco comentarios porfavor.

Good day sir! I tried installing the back up file in your post but I can’t install it on my Nova 7 SE even I followed all the steps. Lagi sinasabi na “You have already a newer version of this app”

any news about Y6P ? i’ve tested all HowTo but no one is abble to install GMS on Y6P with EMUI 10.1 (latest).
Perhaps you ‘ll be the first to accomplish this stuff ?
Anyway tried this method on Nova 7 SE? After clicking on the G app or LZPlay, it only gives one blue option to click. After that, the app automatically closes.
Anyone tried this method on Nova 7 SE?
Lzplay is not compatible on nova 7 se yun yung error na lumalabas sa nova 7 se
i am stuck at this step – COULD NOT FIND BACKUP app in the list. So, i cannot uninstall backup, so i cannot execute below command :
Uninstall the stock Huawei backup app by going to Settings > Apps > Apps and look for the Backup app and uninstall it.
I’ve tried this method on mediapad T5 (EMUI 9.1.0.135), but after clicking LZPlay (Purple G), it only gives one blue option to click (saying “sorry, it is not supported”). After that, the app automatically closes. I’ve tried step 3a several times, but no success. Any solution? Thank you for your great work!
Hey , i tried your step but i stuck in sign in its already 30 min but nothing happened, what should i do
Why you didn’t uploaded the ROM except of these all steps. my Nova 7i is not signing in. its not giving any error.
yes same…. no error on signing in almost 30mins
Mga boss, gumagana din kaya to sa Nova 7 SE? May mga nakapagtry na ba and naging successful? Thanks!
not working sa nova 7 5g, stuck ako sa lzplay (sabi “sorry, this device is not currently supported”)
Same, Nova 7 5G stuck on “sorry, this device is not currently supported” LZPlay does not work.
1 hour waiting on step 4 for google to give me sign in error
I mean, I do not know what to do, running out of patience now
Thanks for sharing. This is now confirmed not working and I’m trying to find a replacement solution.
Thank You Scuba, I’ll be checking in daily for an update!
sana magkaron na po ng update. still trying step 4 baka sakali lang
He said it is confirmed not to be working anymore, he is looking for a new method
Kindly check if updated solution is working.
Tried changing the date. There is no field to input email address.
I am, but when I change date and try browser sign in, it just gets stuck at sign in tab and browser doesn’t load up the login info, and when it does its endless sign in.. Again..
Wait! It worked! I reset my phone and changed the date. Not sure though if it worked on May or March date. Basta nag trial and error lang din! Thank you
Pero I’m still receiving notifications even though I followed the steps.
Same dito. This happens when I open youtube, chrome and Google meet
After I change the date, the browser sign in page won’t load, when it does load, the sign in option gets greyed out after entering password
That’s the expected behavior. Did you check your accounts settings under settings to see if you’re logged in?
Yes, no accounts there
OK, so here’s how I did the step 4, before step 4 after activating lzplay, I changed my back to 2 years, 2018.. After that I began with all the setups till setup 4, where it automatically reset my date back to current year and Google account added, now the problem is, when I install mod 8 notif aree gone, but when I install the finally GMS mod, the notifs come back HARD
Correction, after mod 7 notifs are gone, after mod 8 notifs are back which makes this frustrating, been at it all day
To be specific after step 7a and 7b, I don’t get notifs anymore, and Playstore is installing, but as soon as I hit install on step 8. GMS mod fix. It starts spamming notifications
In step 8, before updating, try the step revision I added which instructs to uninstall Google Play Services first before installing file #8.
Yeah I did that for hours, the revision didn’t work
Hi, unable to move on from step 4a because I get stuck on the sign in tab. Log in screen does not appear. 🙁 I tried installing app # 7 prior to signing in but i get the google protect error.
Because I want to eliminate the notifications, I reset my phone and now I am stuck again at step 4a. I am not sure what step I missed this time.
Hi page is not loading or going to the next step. My unit is p40 5g. Are there any updates on this? Thank you
Looks like we have a problem in our site. I’ve turned it off for now but pages will be longer.
any update for huawei nova 7 5g installing playstore?
You can try this step but I have not tested it on the Nova 7 5G
Hi, unable to move on from step 4a because I get stuck on the sign in tab. (if the date is old (for example, May 2020) the google account page will not load) if the date is actual (24.8.2020) he still writes: signing in. I have H. P40 Pro 🙁
any updates on step 4? LZPlay not working on Nova 7 se EMUI 10.1.1.173
Working for Nova 7 5G
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86lapCJLBk8
If it works for you , pls update here.
NO BACK UP FILE
Where is the back up file
Backup file link is working.
Pano po pag walang flash drive? May other option ba?
I am following the steps on my nova 5i phone, but it cannot recognize the recovery point.
